Type II Anodizing

Click here to download our specifications.

Type II Anodizing is an electrochemical process that provides a durable, resistant substance to 100% aluminum by forming a protective coating of aluminum oxide on the surface of the metal. This coating produces a soft to medium-hard protection, making the aluminum less susceptible to damage and corrosion while generating an electrically non-conductive exterior. In addition to the popular clear coating, the aluminum can also be dyed to spec with any of our 10 standard colors or 41 additional special order designer colors, enhancing not only the aesthetic image of your product, but also supplying it with the signature protective finish of Type II anodizing.

With Type II anodizing, you can achieve the following:

  • Corrosion Resistance
  • Decorative/Cosmetic Appearance
  • Stain Resistance
  • Increased Durability / Scratch Resistance
  • Non- Electrical Conductive Surface

There are thousands of applications for Type II Anodized aluminum. Du-All has anodized parts for a variety of products such as home electronics, machinery, marine/aerospace, computers, appliances, automotive, lighting, culinary, furniture, sporting goods, telescopes, and lasers, just to name a few. We even have parts on the Moon and Mars.
